Morley's Final Catalogue: Abundant everywhere in sylvan places from Bentley Woods to Gorleston; Blythburgh Wood in 1931.

Recent Suffolk Status: Common.

Life history: Double-brooded. Larvae have been found in the autumn in the county mainly on Birch.

Identification: Common wave is similar but the cross lines are brown and curved.

Habitat: A wide variety of habitats including gardens.

Recorded in 54 (93%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1931.
Last Recorded in 2024.
