Morley's Final Catalogue: Surprisingly little known with us, where heather is so wide spread adown the coast as well as in the north-west, with scattered patches elsewhere. No extensions of the Rev. A. H. Wratislaw's discovery of this southern species' presence at Aldeburgh, where he took several specimens about 1870, is yet observed. Suffolk limits its range.

Recent Suffolk Status: Extinct.

Life history: Double-brooded.

Identification: Unmistakeable.

Habitat: Heathland.
