Morley's Final Catalogue: Not recorded from the UK in Morley's time. First UK record on the mainland was in 1989 with breeding confirmed in 1995.

Recent Suffolk Status: Recorded as new to Suffolk on the night of 30/07/2022 at both Purdis Farm, Ipswich by N. Sherman and Felixstowe by M. Marsh (confirmed N. Sherman). One at Landguard on 31/07/2022 (N. Odin). More records followed in 2023 on the coast hinting at establishment, plus the first for VC26 (C. Bishop).
Breeding proven in the county with the discovery of a larva, beaten from Tamarisk on 18/08/2024 (N. Sherman).

Life history: Single-brooded.

Identification: Quite distinctive, being greyish with the very obvious dark elongated central spot.

Habitat: Coastal areas near the foodplant.

Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required.

Recorded in 3 (5%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 2022.
Last Recorded in 2023.
