Morley's Final Catalogue: Much overlooked; probably of frequent occurrence. Bently (Harwood, Ml), Playford (C); Swefling (Peek): before 1890. Occasionally at Monks Soham (Mly); Gorleston in 1934 (Mr).

Recent Suffolk Status: Locally common.

Life history: Double-brooded. Larvae have been found on Wild angelica flowerheads.

Identification: Both Common pug and Currant pug are brownish in colour whilst White-spotted pug is greyish.

Habitat: Woodland glades and rides, fens, river valleys.

Recorded in 44 (76%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1934.
Last Recorded in 2024.
