Morley's Final Catalogue: Abundant everywhere, especially in woods, from Bentley to Gorleston. In Monks Soham garden and at light in June.

Recent Suffolk Status: Has become much rarer in the county in recent years.

Life history: Single brooded in early summer.

Identification: Much smaller than other species of emerald found currently in the county so fairly distinctive. Pale green colour fades rapidly to white and the markings become faint.

Habitat: Mainly edges of woodland and rides.

Recorded in 36 (62%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1940.
Last Recorded in 2022.
